No public skating due to Covid-19 restrictions
With the latest COVID-19 restrictions announced by the Government of Alberta, the Oakridge Arena is closed until further notice.
These restrictions include no indoor public group activities, and a limit of 10 people for outdoor activities.
In terms of the outdoor arena (ODR) behind the arena, the Oakridge Old Timers hockey team has it flooded and ready to go.
Unfortunately, Covid-19 restrictions don’t allow for shinny or hockey to be played on outdoor rinks.
The Oakridge Racquet Club (ORC) is a part of the Oakridge Community Association. It is operated by the Association but receives direction from a newly formed ORC committee.
Through ORC, the Community Association offers outdoor pickleball and tennis, tennis interclub and indoor squash. A summer tennis component is a major part of ORC.
To participate in ORC’s Summer Tennis Program, an additional ORC membership is required. Court times are available for residents who have purchased Oakridge Community memberships and not full ORC memberships.
The courts are presently closed due to COVID-19 restrictions.
